Built For Extreme Use. Tuned For Suppression. Unrivaled Performance.
The 2AD Nap Time is the default answer for centerfire shooters who want the best overall shooting experience possible. Maximum suppression. Minimal gas to the face. Reduced flash in low light. Less concussion, less fatigue, and a smoother rifle all around. Whether it’s a hard-use duty rifle, a range setup, a hunting platform, or someone’s very first suppressor, the Nap Time was engineered to make rifles more enjoyable to shoot without sacrificing durability or reliability.
The 2AD Nap Time is a 6.5-inch, 14.3-ounce full-size centerfire suppressor with a 1.6-inch diameter. The body is a single, weld-free, monolithic structure printed in NovaNap™, our ceramic-reinforced superalloy developed for extreme heat and hard-use environments. Available in three caliber configurations: the 5.56mm Nap Time rated for .223 and 5.56 NATO and similar 5.56-class hosts, the .30 Cal model rated for the .30 caliber family with multi-cal capability across sub-.30 calibers, and the 9mm model optimized for PCC and centerfire pistol platforms. All three ship with a HUB 1.375x24 rear thread for direct-thread mounting in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 and broader HUB-pattern adapter compatibility.
Why Choose the Nap Time™
- Class-Leading Acoustic Performance. The Nap Time is the quietest centerfire suppressor 2A Daddy builds with zero measurable cyclic back pressure. The 6.5-inch full-size form factor delivers the lowest decibel signature in the 2AD lineup, engineered for shooters who want the best shooting experience in its class. The flagship choice when acoustic performance and sustained-fire endurance matter more than overall length.
- NovaNap™ Monolithic Construction. Body printed as one continuous piece. No welds, no separable baffles, no removable end caps, no internal coatings to wear off. Built to withstand sustained-fire heat, carbon, and pressure cycles.
- Three Purpose-Built Caliber Configurations. The Nap Time ships in three caliber configurations, each engineered for its specific caliber class rather than as a one-size-fits-all compromise: the 5.56mm Nap Time for 5.56-class rifle hosts, the .30 Cal Nap Time for the .30 caliber family with bore-compatibility extending to sub-.30 calibers, and the 9mm Nap Time for 9mm-class centerfire hosts with bore-compatibility extending to sub-pistol calibers.
- NovaFlow™ Gas Management. Engineered to direct gas pressure forward through the suppressor, reducing measurable cyclic back pressure at the shooter. Less gas to the face, less carbon blowback, less wear on the bolt carrier group during sustained fire.
- HUB Mount Compatibility. 1.375x24 industry-standard HUB-pattern rear thread. Accepts direct-thread mounting in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24, plus the broader ecosystem of HUB-pattern QD adapters including KeyMo, Bravo, Area 419, and YHM systems.
- Proven Accuracy. Consistent point of impact with and without suppressor across rated calibers and host platforms up to 500 yards.
- Sound Performance: approximately 127 dBA SE and approximately 138 dBA ML on an 11.5" SBR 5.56 NATO host. Independent third-party testing by Silencer Summit.
- Full-Auto Rated. Engineered for the heat, pressure, and round-count demands of full-auto fire across all three caliber tiers. NovaNap's high-temperature stability and the monolithic weld-free construction are built for sustained cyclic fire without structural compromise.
- Low Maintenance by Design. No baffle stack to disassemble. No internal coatings to chip or burn off. No welds to fail. The entire unit is ultrasonic-safe and compatible with standard suppressor cleaning solvents. Recommended cleaning schedule is every 10,000-20,000 rounds if desired.
- High Temp Cerakote Finish. Available in Black, FDE, and OD Green. The High Temp Cerakote is rated for sustained-fire heat exposure.
- Limited Lifetime Warranty. 2A Daddy backs the Nap Time against manufacturing and material defects for the life of the suppressor.
The Material: NovaNap™ Ceramic-Reinforced Superalloy
At the heart of the Nap Time is NovaNap™, our ceramic-reinforced superalloy metal matrix composite offering superior strength with high-temperature creep resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.
This material platform is derived from alloys that have been developed and utilized across U.S. government-funded aerospace, defense, energy, and naval programs, where performance under extreme heat, pressure, and corrosive environments is critical. Applications for this class of materials include:
- Advanced defense and satellite-related hardware
- Aerospace propulsion systems and rocket components
- Naval and marine environments requiring corrosion resistance
- High-temperature energy and reactor systems
This is not traditional suppressor construction. NovaNap™ is engineered at the microstructural level to create a dense, high-strength material system capable of withstanding extreme heat, pressure, and fouling environments. That is exactly what centerfire rifle and pistol-caliber suppressors face during sustained fire.
Centerfire ammunition produces high-temperature gas, carbon, and combustion byproducts that accumulate inside any suppressor and degrade performance over thousands of rounds. NovaNap™ does not eliminate fouling. It changes how the suppressor handles it. The material's high hardness, thermal stability, and refined internal structure help reduce deep fouling adhesion compared to softer materials. More importantly, it allows the suppressor to withstand aggressive cleaning methods, including ultrasonic and chemical processes, without degradation or structural compromise.
The result is a suppressor that maintains performance longer, survives harsher conditions, and continues to run reliably even as the round count climbs.
NovaFlow™ Gas Management
On gas-operated platforms like the AR-15, AR-10, and AR-9, suppressing the muzzle traditionally increases the pressure cycling back through the bolt carrier group, sending more gas, carbon, and combustion byproducts toward the shooter and adding wear to the action.
The Nap Time is engineered around NovaFlow™ architecture, our gas management system designed to direct pressure forward through the suppressor and away from the shooter. The result is a near zero cyclic back pressure, less exposure to the gases known commonly as "gassed out," reduced wear on bolt carrier components during sustained fire, and reduced recoil.
In practical terms, this means the Nap Time runs cleanly on a stock gas system without requiring additional gas block adjustments, a heavier buffer, or other tuning typically needed when running suppressed on a gas-operated rifle or pistol-caliber carbine. It also means a more comfortable shooting experience during high-volume range sessions and faster target acquisition with reduced recoil.
Who the Nap Time Is For
Full-size centerfire rifle shooters
For shooters running AR-15 platforms, AR-10 platforms, bolt-action rifles, and the broader centerfire rifle category, the Nap Time's 6.5-inch full-size form factor delivers the quietest acoustic performance 2A Daddy offers. Pick the configuration that matches your primary platform: the 5.56mm Nap Time for AR-15 and 5.56-class rifle hosts, the .30 Cal Nap Time for the .30 caliber rifle family, the 9mm Nap Time for AR-9 platforms and 9mm pistol-caliber carbines. Each configuration is engineered for its specific caliber class, not as a one-size-fits-all compromise. Full-auto rated across all three configurations for sustained cyclic fire.
Hunting
For hunters using a centerfire rifle in stands, blinds, vehicle-based hunting, or any position where length is less constraining and acoustic performance matters more, the Nap Time delivers the lowest decibel signature 2A Daddy offers. Maximum suppression matters most on follow-up shots, when stationary hunting positions amplify the value of staying on target without ear protection. For hunters who prioritize shorter length over acoustic optimization, the Nap Time K is the deliberate alternative.
First-time centerfire suppressor buyers
If the Nap Time is your first NFA item, the full-size centerfire category is where most multi-platform shooters eventually land. The .30 Cal Nap Time runs across the .30 caliber family AND your 5.56 NATO hosts, the 9mm Nap Time covers 9mm AR pistols and pistol-caliber carbines and the sub-pistol caliber families, and either configuration gives you one suppressor and one tax stamp to cover most of the rifles, AR pistols, and PCCs you are likely to add over time.

- .300 Blackout platforms
- 7.62x39 platforms with adapted 5/8x24 muzzle
- AR-9 platforms and 9mm AR pistols with 1/2x28 threaded barrels
- 9mm pistol-caliber carbines (Ruger PC Carbine, CZ Scorpion, Sig MPX, and similar) with 1/2x28 threaded barrels
- Threaded 9mm pistol hosts via HUB-pattern QD adapters configured for pistol-class boosters
- HUB-compatible mount adapter ecosystem for QD setups including KeyMo, Bravo, Area 419, and YHM systems
Caliber and platform considerations:
- The 5.56mm Nap Time is rated for 5.56 NATO and 5.56-class hosts only. Do not run on .30 caliber, 9mm, or larger calibers with this suppressor. The bore diameter will not fit.
- The .30 Cal Nap Time is rated for the .30 caliber family and bore-compatible with sub-.30 calibers. Sound performance is optimized on .30-class hosts. When using with 5.56 NATO there will be additional space around the bullet and this will reduce sound performance vs using a dedicated 5.56 Nap Time.
- The 9mm Nap Time is rated for 9mm Luger and 9mm-class centerfire hosts, with industry-convention compatibility extending to sub-pistol calibers (.380 ACP, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .32 ACP). Do not run rifle calibers (5.56, .30 caliber family, or larger) through the 9mm Nap Time.
- Use only with rated calibers and host barrel lengths consistent with industry-standard practice for the rated calibers. Do not use with calibers or loads outside the published rating.
- Direct thread requires correct host pitch matching: 1/2x28 for 5.56-class along with most 9mm rifle hosts and 5/8x24 for .30-class via the correct mount adapter. HUB-pattern adapters allow QD mount setups when configured with the correct adapter for your host.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nap Time is offered in three purpose-built caliber configurations. The 5.56mm Nap Time is rated for 5.56 NATO and 5.56-class centerfire hosts. The .30 Cal Nap Time is rated for the .30 caliber family with bore-compatibility extending to sub-.30 calibers including 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and 7.62x39mm. The 9mm Nap Time is rated for 9mm Luger and 9mm-class centerfire hosts, with bore-compatibility extending to sub-pistol calibers (.380 ACP, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .32 ACP). Each configuration is engineered for its specific caliber class. All three configurations mount via HUB 1.375x24 with direct-thread compatibility in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24.
The reality of suppressor engineering is that no single suppressor perfectly optimizes every caliber and platform. Sound suppression, gas management, and flash reduction are all influenced by bore diameter, cartridge pressure, and host setup. While larger bore suppressors can safely run smaller calibers, doing so introduces performance compromises compared to a dedicated caliber configuration. That’s why the 2AD Nap Time lineup is offered in three purpose-built configurations: 5.56, .30 Cal, and 9mm. The .30 Cal model supports sub-.30 calibers like 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and 7.62x39mm, while the 9mm model supports smaller pistol calibers like .380 ACP, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .32 ACP. Cross-caliber compatibility is real, but the best performance always comes from selecting the suppressor designed around your primary platform.
Yes. A .30 caliber suppressor has a larger bore than a 5.56-rated suppressor and is bore-compatible with sub-.30 calibers including 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, 7.62x39mm, and similar. This is a property of the .30 Cal Nap Time's bore diameter, not a separate multi-caliber rating. Sound performance is optimized for .30 caliber hosts; running 5.56 through a .30 cal suppressor is mechanically safe but produces a slightly higher acoustic signature than running 5.56 through the 5.56-rated Nap Time, which is purpose-built for 5.56-class hosts. The 5.56mm Nap Time, by contrast, is rated for 5.56-class hosts only and should not be used with .30 caliber or larger hosts. If your primary platform is 5.56-class, pick the 5.56mm Nap Time; the .30 Cal Nap Time's sub-.30 bore-compatibility is a useful side property but is not the same as a dedicated 5.56 can.
The 9mm Nap Time is rated for 9mm Luger and 9mm-class centerfire hosts as its primary specification. The 9mm bore diameter extends bore-compatibility to sub-pistol calibers that share or sit below the 9mm bore, including .380 ACP, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .32 ACP. These calibers are mechanically compatible with the 9mm-rated bore. As with all caliber-tier suppressors, confirm host muzzle thread pitch matches your selected mount before ordering: most 9mm rifle and PCC platforms use 1/2x28, some 9mm AR pistols use 1/2x36 Glock-pattern, and pistol hosts typically require a HUB-pattern adapter with a pistol-class booster.
HUB stands for Hybrid Universal Base. It is a 1.375x24 industry-standard rear thread on the suppressor body that accepts a wide range of muzzle device adapters and direct-thread mounts from across the suppressor ecosystem. The Nap Time accepts direct-thread mounts in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24, the two industry-standard centerfire muzzle pitches, and is compatible with the broader HUB-pattern QD adapter ecosystem including KeyMo, Bravo, Area 419, and YHM systems.
Point of impact shift between unsuppressed and suppressed fire is minimal across rated calibers and host platforms. In testing, the 2AD Nap Time has demonstrated little to no measurable shift at practical distances out to 500 yards when properly installed on the same host platform. We attribute much of this consistency to the suppressor’s zero measurable cyclic back pressure characteristics, which help minimize disruption to the rifle system as the projectile exits the barrel.
As with any suppressor system, barrel harmonics, ammunition selection, environmental conditions, and host platform variables begin to play a larger role at extended distances beyond 500 yards. Bolt-action rifles will typically exhibit less shift than gas-operated platforms due to their simpler operating systems. As always, confirm and document your zero on each host platform after initial installation.
The Nap Time is built from NovaNap™, a ceramic-reinforced superalloy metal matrix composite, optimized through additive manufacturing. The material is derived from alloys developed and utilized across U.S. government-funded aerospace, defense, energy, and naval programs. The Nap Time body is printed as a single, weld-free, monolithic structure.
No. The Nap Time is a monolithic, weld-free structure printed as one continuous piece. There are no separable baffles, no removable end caps, and no internal thread interfaces to disassemble. The traditional disassembly schedule that baffle-stack centerfire suppressors require does not apply. When servicing is desired, the entire Nap Time is ultrasonic-safe and compatible with standard suppressor cleaning solvents.
The Nap Time is the flagship 2AD centerfire suppressor: a full-size 6.5-inch, 14.3-ounce, 1.6-inch-diameter can offered in three purpose-built caliber configurations (5.56mm, .30 cal, 9mm). The Nap Time K is the compact K-class variant at 4.6 inches, 12.9 ounces, 1.85-inch diameter, offered in two caliber configurations (5.56mm and .30 cal). Both share NovaNap monolithic construction and HUB 1.375x24 rear thread with direct-thread compatibility in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24. The Nap Time is quieter; the Nap Time K is shorter. The full-size form factor delivers class-leading acoustic performance at the cost of an additional 1.9 inches of length compared to the K. The K trades that length for compactness and lower front-end weight on shorter-barreled hosts. See the comparison table above for the full breakdown.
