FAQ

  • What is a suppressor, and how does it work?
A suppressor, also known as a silencer, reduces the sound and muzzle flash produced when firing a gun. It works by trapping and slowing the escaping gases from the firearm’s barrel, reducing noise and recoil.
  • Are suppressors legal?
Yes, suppressors are legal in most states in the U.S. However, they are regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA) and require a tax stamp and ATF approval to own.
  • How do I buy the Nap Time suppressor?
Visit 2ADSupply.co to complete your purchase. You’ll select a dealer for the transfer and complete the required ATF paperwork through Silencer Shop’s eForm system.
  • Do I need a special license to buy a suppressor?
No special license is required. However, you MUST complete the ATF Form 4 application, pay a $200 tax stamp, and pass a background check. Only after paying your fee and get an approval from the ATF can you then own and have a suppressor in your possession.
  • Does the suppressor come with a warranty?
Yes, the 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor comes with a comprehensive lifetime warranty. Contact us for more details.
  • Is the Nap Time suppressor easy to maintain?
Yes, its durable design requires minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning will keep it performing at its best. Recommended cleaning schedule is every 10,000-20,000 rounds. However, you can go much longer due to the material properties of our Proprietary Inconel that is commonly used in rocket bell housings.
  • Do I need an adjustable gas block with the Nap Time suppressor?
No, the Nap Time suppressor’s zero-back-pressure design reduces gas blowback, eliminating the need for an adjustable gas block.
  • Is the Nap Time suppressor full-auto rated?
Yes! The Nap Time suppressor is full-auto rated and designed to handle the extreme heat and stress of sustained rapid fire easily passing the USSOCOM's reliability stress testing.
  • Is the Nap Time suppressor compatible with my rifle?
The 2AD Nap Time suppressor features a direct thread hot out the box for both standard threading 1/2x28 for 556, 5/8x24 for .30 cal and 9mm. It also has HUB-compatible threading (1.375x24), allowing it to fit with popular mounts like Dead Air KeyMo, SilencerCo Bravo, Area 419, and YHM, making it versatile for most rifles. Our goal is to make the most universal suppressor we can.
  • Where is the 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor made?
Proudly made in the USA, this suppressor reflects our commitment to American craftsmanship and cutting-edge innovation. By leveraging advanced materials and design, the 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor delivers revolutionary performance, making it a standout choice for shooters who demand the best in strength, weight, and durability.
  • Is the 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor suitable for all shooting scenarios?
Yes, its combination of superior strength, reduced weight, and full-auto rating makes it versatile enough for everything from casual range sessions to demanding tactical applications.
  • Which material is better: Inconel or Titanium?
Neither is inherently “better,” as the choice depends on your needs. Inconel is superior for extreme durability and heat resistance, while Titanium excels in lightweight applications. The 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor eliminates the need to choose by offering the strength of Inconel with weight-saving advancements that rival Titanium suppressors.
  • What makes the 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor revolutionary?
By combining advanced materials and additive printing, the Nap Time suppressor redefines what’s possible in suppressor technology. Its proprietary Inconel formulation delivers unmatched strength, reduced weight, and the ability to withstand sustained temperatures of up to 800°C (1472°F). This innovation makes it ideal for both full-auto rated performance and ease of use in a variety of shooting scenarios.
  • How does weight impact suppressor performance?
Weight affects the balance and maneuverability of your firearm. Lighter suppressors, like those made from Titanium, reduce fatigue during extended use and improve handling. The 2A Daddy Nap Time suppressor achieves a similar weight advantage without sacrificing strength or heat resistance, making it revolutionary in suppressor design.
  • Why is strength important in a suppressor?
Strength is critical for maintaining performance and durability during extreme conditions, such as sustained full-auto fire. Suppressors must handle intense heat and pressure without compromising structural integrity, which is why Inconel has traditionally been favored for these applications. However, if you do not shoot frequently, you can opt for a lighter titanium suppressor that will easily meet your needs.
  • What are the key differences between Inconel and Titanium suppressors?
Inconel and Titanium are two of the most commonly used materials in suppressor construction, each offering unique benefits: Inconel: Known for its incredible strength and heat resistance, Inconel is ideal for suppressors designed to handle extreme conditions, such as full-auto fire. However, it is generally heavier than Titanium. Titanium: Lightweight and durable, Titanium suppressors are popular for reducing the overall weight of a firearm setup. While strong, Titanium doesn’t match Inconel’s ability to withstand extreme temperatures during sustained rapid fire.
  • Are suppressors durable?
Quality suppressors, like the 2A Daddy Nap Time, are built to handle extreme conditions, including sustained rapid fire, making them incredibly durable. There are many different types of suppressors. Some are rated for lower firing rates which allows lighter materials to be chosen. Choose a suppressor material that fits your needs.
  • Why do I need a suppressor?
You DO NOT need a suppressor; however, suppressors reduce noise, improve accuracy by reducing recoil, and protect hearing. They make shooting safer and more enjoyable, whether at the range or in the field. We highly encourage suppressor ownership regardless if you buy one of our 2AD Nap Time suppressors or someone else's.
  • Do suppressors make guns completely silent?
No, suppressors significantly reduce the noise but don’t make firearms completely silent. They lower the sound to safer levels for hearing protection.
  • How long does it take to get ATF approval for a suppressor?
Approval times vary, but with the ATF’s eForm system, many customers now see approvals in under 30 days, with some as quick as a week.
