The 2AD Nap Time K is a 4.6-inch, 12.9-ounce K-class centerfire suppressor with a 1.85-inch diameter. The body is a single, weld-free, monolithic structure printed in NovaNap™, our ceramic-reinforced superalloy. Available in two caliber configurations: a 5.56mm SKU rated for 5.56 NATO and similar 5.56-class hosts, and a .30 cal SKU rated for the .30 caliber family with multi-cal capability across sub-.30 calibers. Both ship with a HUB 1.375x24 rear thread for direct-thread mounting in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 and broader HUB-pattern adapter compatibility.

The Material: NovaNap™ Ceramic-Reinforced Superalloy

At the heart of the Nap Time K is NovaNap™, our ceramic-reinforced superalloy metal matrix composite offering superior strength with high-temperature creep resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.

This material platform is derived from alloys that have been developed and utilized across U.S. government-funded aerospace, defense, energy, and naval programs, where performance under extreme heat, pressure, and corrosive environments is critical. Applications for this class of materials include:

This is not traditional suppressor construction. NovaNap™ is engineered at the microstructural level to create a dense, high-strength material system capable of withstanding extreme heat, pressure, and fouling environments. That is exactly what centerfire rifle suppressors face during sustained fire.

Centerfire rifle ammunition produces high-temperature gas, carbon, and combustion byproducts that accumulate inside any suppressor and degrade performance over thousands of rounds. NovaNap™ does not eliminate fouling. It changes how the suppressor handles it. The material's high hardness, thermal stability, and refined internal structure help reduce deep fouling adhesion compared to softer materials. More importantly, it allows the suppressor to withstand aggressive cleaning methods, including ultrasonic and chemical processes, without degradation or structural compromise.

The result is a suppressor that maintains performance longer, survives harsher conditions, and continues to run reliably even as the round count climbs.

NovaFlow™ Gas Management

On gas-operated platforms like the AR-15 and AR-10, suppressing the muzzle traditionally increases the pressure cycling back through the bolt carrier group, sending more gas, carbon, and combustion byproducts toward the shooter and adding wear to the action.

The Nap Time K is engineered around NovaFlow™ architecture, our gas management system designed to direct pressure forward through the suppressor and away from the shooter. The result is a near zero cyclic back pressure, less exposure to the gases known commonly as "gassed out," reduced wear on bolt carrier components during sustained fire, and reduced recoil. 

In practical terms, this means the Nap Time K runs cleanly on a stock gas system without requiring additional gas block adjustments, a heavier buffer, or other tuning typically needed when running suppressed on a gas-operated rifle. It also means a more comfortable shooting experience during high-volume range sessions and faster target acquisition with reduced recoil. 

Who the Nap Time K Is For

Compact rifle setups

For shooters running AR carbines, AR pistols with arm braces, bolt-action rifles in dense terrain, or pistol caliber carbines built for fit-in-a-bag transport, the Nap Time K's 4.6-inch form factor preserves muzzle balance without the front-end weight penalty of a full-size can. The K-class form factor is the deliberate choice when length matters more than the last few decibels of suppression.

Hunting

For hunters carrying a centerfire bolt rifle through brush, timber, or mountainous terrain, suppressor length is its own kind of weight. Extra inches at the muzzle snag on cover, throw off rifle balance during long carries, and turn a manageable rig into an unwieldy one over a multi-mile day. The Nap Time K trims that length without sacrificing the durability, and the NovaNap superalloy construction is engineered for the sustained-fire conditions when hunters want to transition the Nap Time K to another rifle system. The Nap Time K provides the flexibility traditional suppressors don't. 

SBR & Pistol AR owners

Registered short-barreled rifles exist precisely because overall length is the constraint that matters most for the buyer. A K-class can is the natural pairing for an SBR or Pistol AR. The Nap Time K at 4.6 inches adds the minimum length the rated calibers permit while maintaining the suppression and durability characteristics of the full-size Nap Time. Honest caveat: a K can on a short barrel will be slightly louder than a full-size can on the same barrel. The buyer is choosing length over decibel reduction, deliberately.

First-time centerfire suppressor buyers

If the Nap Time K is your first NFA item, the centerfire-rifle category is where most buyers eventually want to be. The .30 Cal Nap Time K, in particular, runs across the .30 caliber family AND your 5.56 NATO hosts, which means a single suppressor and a single Form 4 cover most of the rifles you are likely to add over time.

Compatibility

The Nap Time K mounts via 1.375x24 HUB-pattern rear thread, with direct-thread compatibility for 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 host muzzle pitches. The 5.56mm SKU is rated for 5.56 NATO and 5.56-class hosts. The .30 Cal SKU is rated for the .30 caliber family with multi-cal capability across sub-.30 calibers including but not limited to: 30-06, 30-30, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Winchester, 7mm PRC, 300 Win Mag, 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and 7.62x39mm.

Confirmed compatible host platforms:

• AR-15 platform rifles, SBRs, and AR pistols with 1/2x28 threaded barrels
• AR-10 / .308 platform rifles with 5/8x24 threaded barrels
• Bolt-action centerfire rifles with 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 muzzle thread (host-pitch varies by manufacturer; confirm before ordering)

Caliber and platform considerations:

• The 5.56mm Nap Time K is rated for 5.56 NATO and 5.56-class hosts only. Do not run on .30 caliber or larger calibers with this suppressor. The diameter will not fit.
• The .30 Cal Nap Time K is rated for the .30 caliber family and bore-compatible with sub-.30 calibers. Sound performance is optimized on .30-class hosts. When using with 5.56 NATO there will be additional space around the bullet and this will reduce sound performance vs using a dedicated 5.56 Nap Time K. 
• Use only with rated calibers and host barrel lengths consistent with industry-standard practice for the rated calibers. Do not use with calibers or loads outside the published rating.
• Direct thread requires correct host pitch matching (1/2x28 for 5.56-class, 5/8x24 for .30-class). HUB-pattern adapters allow QD mount setups when configured with the correct adapter for your host.
